Method of appointment
Direct Recruitment. (From among SC/ST communities only). In the absence of SC candidates, ST candidates will be considered. If no ST candidates are available, SC candidates will be considered.
Age Limit
18-45. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe communities born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.2004 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. (Including the relaxation as per Para 2 (i) of the General Conditions). Note :- For other conditions regarding age relaxation please see Part II, Para 2 of the General Conditions except Para 2(i). (To the maximum extent of 50 years including age relaxation).
Qualifications
1) A Degree in Arabic or a Degree with Arabic as one of the optional subjects under Part III and B.Ed/B.T/L.T conferred or recognized by the Universities in Kerala. OR A Title of Oriental Learning in Arabic awarded or recognized by the Universities in Kerala (if such title has been declared as equivalent to Part III of Degree) and Certificate in Language Teacher Training issued by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala. 2) Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test (K-TET) for this post conducted by Government of Kerala.
Notes
(i) Rule 10 a(ii) of part II of KS&SSR is applicable. (ii) Candidates who have claimed equivalent qualifications in the notification should produce the Government Order proving equivalency at the time of verification, otherwise such qualification shall not be treated as equivalent. (iii) As per G.O.(P) No. 145/16/G.Edn. dated 30.08.2016, G.O.(P) No. 206/16/G.Edn. dated 08.12.2016 and G.O.(P) No. 15/2020/G.Edn. dated 09.10.2020, persons who have acquired B.Ed, M.Phil, Ph.D in the concerned subject in the relevant subject are exempted from passing the TET test.
