Laboratory Attendant (Special Recruitment for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes only)

Direct Recruitment. (Special Recruitment for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes only). Note:- Applications submitted by candidates other than Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes will be summarily rejected. No individual communication will be issued regarding the rejection of such applications.

18-41. Candidates born between 02.01.1982 and 01.01.2005 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Note:- In the absence of qualified candidates within the age limit, the upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 50 years. But in no case the maximum age shall exceed 50 (Fifty) years.

(1) Must have passed S.S.L.C Examination. (2) Must have passed the Laboratory Attenders Test conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission. Note:- Passing the Laboratory Attenders Test is not obligatory at the time of appointment. They should pass the test within the period of probation. Note: KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. "In addition to the qualifications prescribed in this notification, the qualifications recognized by executive orders or standing orders of the Government as equivalent to a qualification specified for the post, in terms of educational qualification or higher qualifications than the qualification prescribed, shall be accepted. The Government Orders/orders regarding equivalent qualification/higher qualification shall be produced as and when called for by the Commission."

(i) A ranked list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall be published in Idukki district. The list will be in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years, provided that if a new ranked list is published after the expiry of the minimum period of one year, the rank list prepared as per this notification will cease to exist. Vacancies reported for selection from the above list during the currency of the list will be filled up by Special Recruitment for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes. Vacancies reserved exclusively for Scheduled Tribes will also be filled up from this list. If no Scheduled Tribes candidates are available, applications will be invited exclusively for them through a separate notification. (ii) The selection pursuant to this notification will be made on district-wise basis in accordance with the special rules laid down in G.O.(MS) No.154/71/PD dated 27.05.1971. A person selected and appointed from the ranked list prepared on district-wise basis shall not be transferred from the district in which he/she is appointed till the completion of 5/five years continuous service from the date of commencement of service in the district. After 5 years, transfer to other districts is permissible subject to the conditions laid down in G.O.(MS) No.4/61/PD dated 02.01.1961. But at present, those who are already working in the government service in the same department in any one district are not eligible to apply for this notification. However, they can apply for higher posts when notified.
