19-40. Candidates born between 02.01.1981 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible to apply. Usual age relaxation will be given to SC/ST and other backward communities.

Degree in Civil Engineering from any recognized University or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto. OR Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers, India in Civil Engineering or any other diploma recognized as equivalent thereto. OR Pass in Sections 'A' and 'B' of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers, India in Civil Engineering.

1. The vacancies reported are currently existing. The Ranked list prepared in pursuance of this notification shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years. If a new ranked list is published for the same post after one year, the current list will cease to exist. Advice will be made from the existing list for the vacancies shown above and for any further vacancies reported during the currency of the list. 2. Any recommendation for appointment from the appointing authority will be cancelled if it is found to be incorrect later. The appointing authority shall terminate the service of the candidate immediately if the recommendation is cancelled. However, such termination shall be within the probation period or 240 days of service, whichever is earlier. 3. As per G.O(P)No.74/2013/SJD dated 09.09.2013, 3% of vacancies are reserved for differently abled candidates (Locomotor disability/Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment, Low Vision). 4. Candidates must be prepared to serve in the Defense Services for a minimum period of four years (including training period) if required by the appointing authority. This condition is not applicable to graduates in engineering who have crossed 40 years of age.
