22-45. Only candidates born between 02.01.1976 and 01.01.1999 (both dates included) are eligible to apply for this post. Candidates belonging to Other Backward Communities, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are eligible for usual age relaxation. In no case the maximum age limit shall exceed 50 years. (For other conditions regarding age relaxation, please see para 2 of the General Conditions).

(1) DM/DNB in Medical Oncology. (2) In the absence of the above, candidates with MD/DNB in General Medicine/Radio Therapy/Paediatrics with 2 years of special training in Medical Oncology will be considered. (3) Registration with Travancore Cochin Medical Council or Medical Council of India. Other Qualifications: (i) 3 years of teaching experience as Resident in the Department of Medical Oncology in a recognized Medical College. (ii) One year of teaching experience after acquiring Post Graduate Degree. In the absence of candidates with Senior Residency, those without Senior Residency but having all other prescribed qualifications will also be considered.

1. KS & SSR Part II Rule 10 (a) ii is applicable. 2. The study period of candidates who acquired Post Graduate Degree through Residency programme shall be considered as teaching experience for the post of Assistant Professor. Candidates who acquired Post Graduate Degree without Residency programme must produce a certificate from the Principal of the college where they studied, stating that they have obtained teaching/clinical experience during the Post Graduate study period. 3. Candidates who claim equivalent qualification instead of qualification mentioned in the notification shall produce the relevant Government Order to prove the equivalency at the time of verification, then only such qualification shall be treated as equivalent to the prescribed qualification. 4. In the case of difference in original caste/community claimed in the application and that entered in SSLC book, the candidate shall produce a Gazette notification in this regard along with Non-Creamy Layer/Caste Certificate at the time of certificate verification.
