20 – 39, Only candidates born between 02/01/1985 and 01/01/2004 (both dates are included) are eligible to apply for the post with usual age relaxation to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Communities.(For other conditions of age relaxation please see Para(2) of Part II General Conditions in the Gazette) Note: Officers of the Technical Education Department, Public Works Department, Public Health Engineering Department, Industries Department, Architecture and Town Planning Department may also apply as per this notification. They will be allowed age relaxation to the extent of their service in those departments. (maximum age limit shall not exceed 50 years as on 01.01.2024)

First class Bachelor's Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized University after undergoing a regular course of study. Note: i KS & SSR part II Rule 10 (a)ii is applicable ii Candidates who have acquired Non-qualifying Degrees viz. Ph.D/M.Phil/Post Doctoral Fellowship will be awarded weightage marks provided that such Non-Qualifying Degrees shall be in the subjects pertaining to the basic qualification stipulated for the post.

1 Due to the non availability of DA-LV candidate in the previous Ranked List of this post, as per section 34(2) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 one vacancy is reserved for DA-LV category. The same will be filled from the above said category from the ranked list published as per this notification. In the absence of the above said DA category in the ranked list as per this notification, the same will be advised from other eligible DA categories as per Section 34(2) of the above said Act. In the absence of DA candidates, it will be advised from General Category. 2: 4% of the total vacancies reported shall be reserved for eligible Differently Abled candidates with disabilities as specified vide G.O(P) No. 5/2023/SJD dated 01.10.2023 Liability to serve in the Defence Services : Persons appointed to the above mentioned post shall be liable, notwithstanding that at the time of requisition they are holding higher appointments, to serve for a minimum period of four years (including period spent in training) in the Defence Services or on assignments relating to Defence efforts anywhere in India or abroad, if so required. The liability to serve in the Defence Services will be limited to the first 10 years of service and will not ordinarily apply to those above 40 years of age. Probation : Every person appointed to this post shall from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years.
